Segovia has a doll that she just adores. One of her aunts on her dad's side gave it to her. I can't remember which aunt. When she plays with her, she touches her face with carino and hugs her and sings to her. I had packed her away for a few weeks in Segovia's beach bag, forgetting all about her. When we got to the beach on Saturday, I pulled her out and tossed her to Sego and she went nuts. It was like she was being reunited with her twin after 20 years. She hugged her, babbled with her, kicked her feet in the air, and slept with the doll (I guess she needs a name now that she is a part of the family) on her chest. She toted the doll around all weekend. It is funny how she took a liking to this one toy in particular. Maybe because it is her only toy with a human-like face. Fortunately she seems to like real humans more, but this toy is a human she can carry and cuddle. The way she talks to it is different than how she talks to me or her nanny. She seems to narrate long stories, uninterrupted. Maybe I should let her talk more while I listen. I have pictures of Sego reunited with her doll (any name suggestions?) but at the moment I can't upload them.
